We had our own season of drought in September and October of this year. At one point we were about two months behind in rainfall. At first it wasn't so bad - you could always plan to do things outdoors. And then everything turned eerily brown and shriveled.

So when those first rains came a few weeks back, what a joy it was! Rich and refreshing, cool and calming.
