A simple three-letter word. Other words mean the same thing: delight, happiness, wonder, but it's not the same as joy. And at this time of year, as we're surrounded by wonderful traditions of Christmas, New Year's, Hanukkah, and all winter holidays, JOY is the word I think of first.

On the radio last week, I heard a story about how the practice of gratitude brings deep joy. And that makes perfect sense! As we consistently give thanks for the many moments in our life, we experience joy. What a great reminder in these busy weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
